The captain of SSL Team Finland is a Laser World Champion and double European Champion before going to win the Olympic Gold medal in 49er in Sydney 2000 with Jyrki Järvi. Since then he has been sailing Orma 60 trimarans and Volvo Ocean Race onboard Ericsson 3 in 2008/2009 and on Puma in 2012 on the Southern Ocean leg around Cape Horn. Thomas Johanson is a former ice-hockey player and knows what it takes to train in ice-cold conditions. Now a successful businessman and sailor he brings his passion, magic of winning, teamwork and never give up attitude to the team.
